The Model I had drawn as an attempt to combine multiple of our ideas, into one big model. This Model has a Box-Like Structure, a curved Structure going from one side, to another side of the top of the Box-Like Structure, & another structure inside the Box-Structure itself. On the sides of this big structure, there will be multiple Wooden Sticks (or perhaps PVC Pipes) that are colored differently, in order for children to determine how many triangles they can spot, & a side where patients will identify the name of a Color, as quickly as they can, without naming out the actual color that the name of the color is written in (ex. Red written in yellow, black written in white, etc.). Patients will be able to use the sense of sight to look at the Curved Structure on top, & can use the Skill of Eye-Hand Coordination to throw a ball over the Structure that stands in the Middle of of Box-Like Structure.

The Strengths I noticed in all of my Teammates' Ideas were Creativity, Resourcefulness, & Uniqueness.

Possible Names:

-"The Color & Shape Game Structure"

-"The Color, Shape, & Fun galore"

-"Find the Triangles! Play a Game! Look at the structures!"

Strengths in other teammates:

In Marlene's idea she tried to incorporate all of our ideas and in doing so she created a structure that allows a multitude of sensory experiences and allows for hand eye coordination to take place. Its very creative!

Fernando has a very original idea that involves the use of triangles and has amazing potential!

Gerardo's sketches were really neat and showed his thinking of his "temple" like structure. It was very interesting for him to do so and see  it out on paper. His understanding and way he spoke about his project was really well done.

My first drawing was suppoosed to be an arch that the riders would pass through on the horse. I wanted to incorporate the triangular shape into the structure. The inside panel will include patches of different textures in different shapes.

Some strengths I took note of from other peoples drawings were one of the drawings had a lot where she had different activities on the inside and outside. I also noticed that one of the drawings had a complex stucture to it which stood out.

My drawing is a tunnel made out of triangles combined together to make rectangular walls. It has objects hanging from the ceiling, and on the walls that the people can interact with. It also has small speakers that are making noises.

3 strengths I saw in other teammates ideas

-Triangular Structure

-Experience integrated into structure

-Various Experiences

3-4 sentences explain your drawing both overall and detail

-My drawing was very triangular because that was a concept that the whole group shows in their projects.

My starting idea for my project was to take the most important parts from each of my classmate's model, including my groups, and combine them into one whole project. For this project idea, I wanted the environmental component and visual effects inside my project idea, to be the strongest feature in it. Having all of that in mind, I selected very unique structures for the project idea, which can be seen as there is an arch structure for that different-environment experience sensation. This arch structure would have a blue gradient while also have a texture in which the patient undergoing the therapy can touch and analyze the colors. As well, I selected triangular prisms that would allow for different activities to happen in that environmental experience. With the visual effects, I decided that the two triangular prisms would have different components of activities on the vertical 3 sides (6 activities in total). These activities would also be focus on the senses of Touch and Sight.

Within my classmates projects, I saw lots of strength in how they were cooperating the environmental experience by using an arch structure, which was one of the models someone had. As well, how people had used certain visual effects to have the primary senses be Sight and Touch. Finally, one last strength was the description of their project idea, in terms of measurements or how each activity in their project idea, works.

For my project idea, the only name I was able to come up with was the Palette Post, due to there being multiple colors, activities, and textures.

PVC Tunnel

  • Bending PVC Pipes: (Use a hair dryer and 1/2-inch drain auger)
  • The drain auger is inserted into the PVC to prevent it from kinking as it's being bent–kinked PVC pipe is extremely difficult to get straight again. Use a hair dryer to heat up a spot on the PVC pipe and slowly apply pressure on the area you want to bend. Once you've made a bend to the desired angle you can remove the auger. This technique is ideal for maneuvering PVC around corners and over other pipes, while remaining flush to the wall. Take it slow when heating and bending the PVC and you'll have a successful outcome almost every time.

(Material: Nylon Rope)

Using Yarn as one of the Textures would be a good idea, However the Yarn will most likely, unfortunately, not last very long outside. It might be a better Idea to instead Nylon Rope instead of Yarn, as it can still be colorful, have a Similar, or close-enough to similar, texture, & is stronger than normal Yarn.
