Technical Drawing

Materials: Wood, String, Plastic, Rubber, Metal

Possible Titles: The Fun - Fun Playground

My idea is to make some sort of playground that kids can go through. Meant to be an obstacle course. It will have 2 physical Quantities. The slanted Ladder. Includes string for additional help but is optional. Once that is completed, there is a flat surface. Either to get the view, hangout, or pause.  After that, some sort of slide that the kid can slide down from, and go to the next Sensory trail

Three Strengths from a colleague:The creativity of Chris's idea. 3 circles all looping above a single triangle, that is "Floating", while the circles move.  The design of others. Certain marks that give the thought of the idea. How different Chris's idea is. Everyone did include a triangle as the main shape. But the Circle was the main shape.

My drawing is combing some ideas and structures that my teammates made like the use of a triangular prism or the Idea of hanging objects or even Tetris in the project. There was a lot of triangles being used in all the designs. There was even a drawing that I was able to make which has a triangular prism and a dome on top, made it appear as a slushy so I added a tube on top to finish the look of a slushy.

There was a lot of triangles or gazebo inspired structures, along with the use of rope to design the structure and make it pretty. One thing that was really interesting is a hook idea that Karina made which you could hook and unhook the rope to make your own patterns on the structure.

I wasn't able to make many names, I came up with: Slushy Fun (for the slushy structure) Triangles galore

My drawings is explains like a gym for kids. There will be four sides one to be to enter into the jungle/gym one side is going to have strings that will make sound one side will be like a spider web that well have objects inside so kids can take it out and the last side will have pictures hanging down so the kids can like name the picture. The way to move the project is to have wheels in the bottom so you can move around the project. the project will be 9ft tall and 6ft wide.

Star Gaze

Edu Ortiz

Star Gaze is a room or some sort of tent that is dark in the inside and it soothing with LED lights. It's a tent with little holes to let a bit of air and light. In the top is LED lights that will look like stars and what not. There will also be a tarp to cover the light coming in or too much light coming in. In other teammates ideas they has triangles as for support and I think that is a strength. Something else is the material

1) In 3-4 sentences, explain your drawings both overall and detail.

What my drawing is basically a triangular prism version of a jungle gym. It has parts of it where the children can go through where they can sit in the center and play with the assorted hanging objects. The two sections have a netting of some sort but the children can still reach the middle whether it be to the side or climbing over a section. The connections that it has would be a three way connection in which the pipes would fit into.

2) List at least 3 strengths that you saw in other teammates' ideas.

a) One strength that I had seen in other teammates' ideas was how Chris A. had done his more circular while the large majority were triangular.

b) Another strength that I had noticed was that Patrick had put a lot of thought into his drawing.

c) A strength that I had noticed was that a lot of us had used triangles which are teh best shape to use for building.

3) List possible names.

-Space Pyramid

-Jungle Pyramid

Designs

The purpose of the drawing is supposed to be a representation of my project which is supposed to be a type of mini obstacle course  in which the user must progress through it by climbing through the tetris shaped blocks which  have easily grab able triangle shaped rope.

Strengths

  • Creative Designs
  • Somewhat original Ideas
  • Planned designs

The drawing is an attempt to do a icosahedral shape.

In my drawing, I thought of using the common idea of using a Triangle (pyramid) and a unique sphere outline in which this allows the triangle (pyramid) to freely move inside the sphere'd structure from each of the triangles tip's by using a ball that is stuck inside the sphere outlines like a train track but inverted where instead of it on top of the tracks it's inside. The Sphere will have three rings that make it its shape one that is diagonal, straight ahead, and sideways but these rings will appear as if it is one single type of ring due to different perception's and angles. The triangle (pyramid will be made out of wood and the rings will be out of metal so the ball can have less friction caused by any other material.

Looking from other teammates idea's I saw 3 strengths in it, one it was creative, two it involved other ideas from their group, and three it was more accessible to clients.

The name i have decided to come up with for my project idea is Rolly T. because the Triangle (pyramid) inside the sphere rolls alot.
