Our goal was to make a simple drawing machine that will make a balloon pop to create drawings.

We designed this machine for the verb throw. Our drawing medium was ink. We used a tentacle mechanism.

Sketch

We wanted to use the tentacle mechanism to fling the balloon with the ink and to make it EXPLODE on a sheet of paper and leave marks.

Version 2

In version 2, we added a box to the outside of the sheet to make it safer and make the splash inside the box. We also made the collapsible tentacle mechanism bigger with a longer string. We added a 3D-printed scoop to the end to hold the balloon in place.
