Project Description

We wanted to make a motorized version of hanging markers and we wanted to add motors to make it automatic but it ended up having to be a button contraption. We ended up with a lot of mistakes and changes of plans which is why we named this project cut once measure twice.

Our drawing machine was designed for the verb rotate and uses color pens as the drawing medium.

We used a pendulum mechanism and added motors to it.

We built a structure that has motors that move pens in a circular rotation to make markings on a paper.

Changes in Version 2.0

We changed it from a rotate to a swing and we made it so we swung it instead of using the button contraption. The first version had strings getting tied up so we made sure the second version had enough space between the markers.
